Since there's no significant reports of others with this issue, something on your system may be the cause. Just in case I'd remove anything Matrox related as well (and check for drivers and delete). Presonus might be using a driver as well. 'Allowed' extensions are stored in a SQLite DB, which can be modified. Uninstall it and make sure it's audio driver is removed as well and reboot. Important: the built-in output needs to be ABOVE BlackHole in the list. Check the box next to BlackHole, the Built-in Output, and any other devices you want to use for monitoring.
